Egypt

US Citizens do require a visa to travel to Egypt.

The Visa is valid only for travel within six (6) months from the date of issue and is valid only for one-month stay in Egypt, beginning on the date of arrival. If you have a reason to extend your stay, you can do that from the Ministry of Interior Affairs in Egypt after declaring the reasons for that and their acceptance for those reasons.

Visa fees vary from one nationality to another. The US citizen fee is $15. For other nationalities, please contact the Consulate and dial extension 14.

Individual Visa
a. A valid passport for at least 6 months with a blank page to stamp the visa.
b. One passport-size photo.
c. Completed application form.
d. Payment in cash, US Postal Money Order or cashier's check payable to the “Consulate of Egypt”. Personal checks are not accepted.
e. Applying by mail: Enclose the above-mentioned requirements together with a self-addressed stamped envelope to send the passport back to you. Application by mail would take a minimum of 3 - 5 working days to process. Please contact ext. 14 to know about your case.

Personal appearances to the Consulate by the applicant may get their visas on the same day as long as they come before 12:00 noon. Applications made after 12:00 noon would have to claim their passports the following business day.

Ethopia

Visa processing takes at least 3 working days provided all requirements are complete.
The Visa is valid only for travel within 90 days from the date of issue so do not apply for any visa prior to 3 months before departure.
Visas are valid for a two-year, multiple entry stay in Ethiopia, beginning on the date of arrival.
Visa fees vary from one nationality to another. The US citizen fee is $70.00. For other nationalities, please contact the Consular department of the Embassy directly at (202)364-1200 ext 2.

b. One passport-size photo.
c. Completed application form.

· An applicant shall complete a visa application form in quadruplicate (4 copies) and attach four (4) passport size photographs which were taken not more than three (3) months from the date of submitting the application.
· An applicant should possess a return air ticket, of which a copy should be submitted with the application for tourist visa, or you may submit a letter from your Travel Agent that includes the itinerary.
· An applicant should possess a proof of inoculation against Yellow Fever and it be submitted with the application for tourist visa.
· An applicant should possess a valid passport for at least 6 months with a blank page to stamp the visa and it be submitted with the application for tourist visa.
· Payment in the form of ? Money order ? Cashier's check or ? Certified bank check made payable to the Embassy of Ghana if you are applying in Washington D.C. or The Consulate of Ghana if you are applying in New York.
· Enclose the above-mentioned requirements together with a self-addressed stamped envelope to send the passport back to you. Application by mail would take a minimum of 3 - 5 working days to process.

Visa Requirements

Valid passport with sufficient number of unused pages for endorsements abroad. Passport must be signed and valid for at least six months.

1. Visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.
2. Two recent passport size photographs attached to the application form.
3. Valid round trip ticket or a letter from your travel agent certifying that the applicant holds prepaid arrangements.
4. A self-addressed stamped envelope for Priority Mail, Express Mail, FedEx, UPS, Airborne Express, or DHL. (Metered stamps are not acceptable.)
5. Your home and work telephone numbers.
6. Visa Fees Of $50.00 For Single Entry (Tourist/Business), and $100.00 For Multiple Entries  (Business) payable in cashiers check or money order only (Cash and personal checks are not acceptable).

An additional US$ 10.00 for rush or expedited service on documents.
