| Day 1 |
Arrive Ghana. After immigration procedures where you will be
asked to present your passport with your visa stamped inside and
required to show proof of inoculation against Yellow Fever, proceed
to baggage claim. After custom procedures, you will be met by local
guide and transferred to the Novotel Hotel, located in downtown
Accra, close to the main shopping area, the Makola market, museums
and theatres. The hotel has with 180 air-conditioned rooms, a bar, a
restaurant, a swimming pool and meeting rooms. Check-in procedures
upon arrival. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation. |
| Day 2 |
Buffet Breakfast is included at hotel. Depart after breakfast for a
city tour of Accra, the capital and largest city in Ghana. A full day
tour cultural and historic tour visiting sights as the Kwame Nkrumah
Mausoleum and Park, the National Museum, the W.E.B. DuBois Center for
Pan Africanism and the Artists Alliance Gallery. Drive past the
Independence Arch and Black Star Square- Accras ceremonial grounds.
Tour will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, however cost is not
included. After lunch, visit the Arts and Crafts market where you
may try out your bargaining skills on the local vendors. Return to
hotel in the late afternoon. Evening is free. Overnight: Novotel

| Day 3 |
Buffet Breakfast is included at hotel. After
breakfast, check out of hotel and depart Accra for Kumasi via Cape
Coast in the Central Region. Drive along the coast through several
fishing villages and coconut lined beaches. Arrive Cape Coast and
visit the Cape Coast Castle and the West African Historical Museum.
The guide will conduct you to the slave quarters and Negotiation Hall
where our ancestors were bargained for and sold. Pay a solemn homage
to our ancestors and tour the Cape Coast township. Tour will stop
for lunch at a local restaurant, however cost is not included. After
lunch, continue to Kumasi. Drive past Assin Manso, burial site of the
remains of two former slaves exhumed from New Yorks Wall Street and
re-interred on Emancipation Day 1998 and the Slave River which was
the last rest stop for slaves on their one-way trek to the Coast for
shipment into slavery. Cross the River Prah to the historic and
cultural capital city of Ashanti Kumasi. Upon arrival transfer to
the Royal Basin Hotel, located right outside of downtown Kumasi, near
Bonwire, the famous craft village where Ashanti kente clothe is
woven. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar and a swimming pool.

| Day 4 |
Continental Breakfast is included at hotel. After
breakfast, depart on a city sightseeing tour of Kumasi. The capital
of the Asanti Region, Kumasi is the second-largest city in Ghana,
West Africa. A relatively young city, Kumasi was founded in the early
19th century by King Osei Tutu. The king named the city after the KUM
tree, which he planted as a symbol of victory for the Asanti Empire
over the British. The tour will visit the Manhyia Palace residence
of the Ashanti King and Palace Museum, National Cultural Centre,
Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, Okomfo Anokye Sword, University of Science
and Technology School of Art and Sculpture and the Kumasi Central
Market the largest open-air market in West Africa. Tour will stop
for lunch at a local restaurant, however cost is not included. After
lunch, return to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

| Day 5 |
Continental Breakfast is
included at hotel. The morning is free. For those who would like to
visit a local church, your guide will assist you. Afternoon visit to
a few Ashanti Craft villages to observe craftsmen at work and to
purchase souvenir gift items. Tour will visit Ahwiaa: the woodcarvers
village specializing in woodcarving such as the Ashanti stools,
fertility dolls and walking sticks; Ntonso: where well witness the
making of Adinkra cloth and the Ashanti tie-and-dye process; and,
Bonwire: famous for its Kente cloth. Return to hotel late afternoon.

Check out of hotel and
have luggage in the lobby by 9am. Continental Breakfast is included
at hotel. After breakfast, checkout of hotel and depart Kumasi for
Accra. Drive past several scenic villages and charming towns through
the evergreen forests. Stop at a typical cocoa farming village to
meet and interact with the Chief and people. Upon arrival in Accra,
transfer to the Novotel Hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is at

| Day 7 |
Buffet Breakfast is included at hotel. Checkout of hotel
and depart from Accra for Aflao, the Ghana-Togo border where the
group will be met by your Togolese/Beninois guide. Group will change
vehicles and be assisted with immigration and custom formalities at
each border. Upon entry into Togo, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour
of Lomé, the capital of Togo, situated on the Gulf of Bénin, known as
the "pearl of West Africa,". Lomé offers a colorful look into
Africa's history, and welcomes you to its culturally diverse people,
who are from approximately 40 different ethnic groups. Tour will pass
the main market, the fetish market and other attractions. Tour will
stop for lunch at a local restaurant, however cost is not included.
After lunch, group will continue on to Cotonou. Assistance with
exit/entry formalities at the Togo/Benin border. Upon arrival in
Cotonou, transfer to the Novotel Cotonou Orisha Hotel, located in
downtown Cotonou near the Palace of Congress and international
convention centre. The hotel has 110 rooms, the "Cotonou harbor"
restaurant, 2 bars and 3 meeting rooms and gardens overlooking the
beach. and check-in. Check-in procedures upon arrival. Overnight:

| Day 8 |
Buffet Breakfast is included at
hotel. Full day escorted sightseeing tour to Abomey, the famous
capital of the powerful and prestigious Kingdom of Danhome. Tour will
stop enroute at Allada, the birthplace of Toussaint Louverture,
native of Allada and the founding hero of Haiti. Visit his memorial
and continue onto Abomey to visit the Handicraft center, the Historic
Museum, with its Bas-reliefs, arms, and the Amazones, the famous lady
warriors of Danhome. Lunch is included on tour. Evening return to

| Day 9 |
Buffet
Breakfast is included at hotel. Morning tour visiting Ganvié, a
village on stilts in the middle of Lake Nokoue. Ganvié is a
remarkable fishing community that came into existence when its early
founders fled slavery to the safety of the waters. Visit Lovers Lane,
the floating market and the handicraft center. Tour will stop for
lunch at a local restaurant, however cost is not included. After
lunch, continue to Ouidah, the former trading post of the slave trade
between Europe and West Africa taking Africans as slaves to Brazil,
Haiti and the US. Visit the Sacred Forest of Kpasse. Tour will
traverse the road of slavery leading to the Majestic Memorial of
Slavery at Zoungbodji. Tour will also visit the Trees of
Forgetfulness & Return, the Place Zomai, the Common Grave, and the

| Day 10 |
Buffet Breakfast is included at hotel. Morning check out of hotel
and depart for Accra, via Lome. Upon arrival at Benin-Togo border,
participants will be assisted with entry/exit formalities and
customs. Once done, proceed through Lome and continue to Ghana.
Assistance with exit/entry formalities at the Togo-Ghana border.
Group will be met by Ghanaian guide at the Aflao border and transfer
to the Novotel Hotel. This evening at 7pm, depart for your group
farewell dinner. Enjoy local cuisine and entertainment. Overnight:
